Ashley Baker-Comarcho

Ashley Comarcho (b. Victoria British Colombia, Canada) has been living in Grand Bahama in The Bahamas for the past 15 years. Comarcho is a self-taught artist who is interested in the fluidity of acrylic pouring, and resin art a type of abstract style that focuses on the interplay of form and color through movement and gravity. Her medium mainly consists of acrylic paint, resin and pigment powders, along with other miscellaneous material such as glitter, clay, and crystals.

Comarcho pulls inspiration from local landscapes, emotions and music in a way they translate through the language of painting.

Her artwork has been featured in exhibitions throughout the Bahamas, as well as in the United States, and has recently been acquired by the Kinsey Collection.
