Dede Brown (b.1984) Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas is an interdisciplinary artist who works in painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture and installation. She studied at The Savannah College of Art & Design and has a BFA in Interior Design, with a minor in Photography. For the past 10 years she has practiced as a freelance artist and photographer in Nassau. She has completed three permanent sculptures, two in the Nassau Airport and one at Baha Mar Resort. She has participated in several group exhibitions in Nassau and completed 2 international residencies abroad. Presently, she resides in Spanish Wells, Eleuthera and works from a home based studio; a space, which has enabled her to work consistently over the course of the global pandemic, further nurturing and expanding her fine art practice.
