Jalan Harris
Jalan Harris (b. 1991) is a mixed media artist from Freeport, Grand Bahama (The Bahamas). During her teen years, she trained closely with photographers and digital artists who helped strengthen her craft. In 2011, Harris obtained her Associates degree in Art at the formerly known College of The Bahamas. Jalan approaches her work in an abstract manner, addressing topics of sexuality, femininity, sociology, and race. In 2018 Jalan created a virtual hub called Artists' Circle, to unify local artisans and arouse public interest in the arts. Jalan has showcased her artwork in many Bahamian galleries, including two National Exhibitions at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas.
